OUR HISTORY

This history of Williamsfield, Illinois, began over 130 years ago when small towns emerged along the railroad lines that crossed the midwest. Named after a railroad official, Mr. Williams, who noticed fields of corn on each side of the track, "Williams Field" has since been renamed to Williamsfield. Several accounts document the rich history of this small town.
