Williamsfield Arboretum

The arboretum within Doubet-Benjamin Park was formally finished in 2018 with the identification and installation of all the sign plaques around or attached to over 200 trees and shrubs, of over 150 different varieties.  Tree planting began in the early 1990's and has continued through the present.

The Parks Association continues to add several varieties each year, with many native trees and shrubs on site, as well as some unusual varieties that are uncommon to the area.  Although reasonably younger plantings, many of the specimens are nearing mature height and can be viewed freely to the public, including students from the nearby school district. The diversity of this outdoor classroom is planned and planted for the many generations to come.
