Village Government

Williamsfield is governed by a Village President and a board of 6 trustees. These leaders are elected officials. They preside over Village matters, such as infrastructure and public safety. The board meets monthly.

This history of Williamsfield, Illinois, began over 130 years ago when small towns emerged along the railroad lines that crossed the midwest. Named after a railroad official, Mr. Williams, who noticed fields of corn on each side of the track, "Williams Field" has since been renamed to Williamsfield. Several accounts document the rich history of this small town.
